2pm Sharp, 23rd June 2011
Assembly Point - Te Marae-O-Hine (outside PNCC Customer Services in The Square).
The march will follow this route: across The Square from West to East and turning left out onto the Road at the Main Street Roundabout, north towards Broadway Avenue. At the Broadway Avenue lights turn right into Broadway and continue down to the Regent. Turn left into the Regent Arcade and march from Broadway to King Street, turning left onto King Street and ending in front of Community House.
We are still to confirm a March Leader, but this will be announced on our Website & Facebook page as soon as it is confirmed!
Appropriate banners, posters, noise makers and flags welcome in the parade!
The March was originally planned to coincide with the Official Opening of Community House, however those plans have had to alter. We will now be hosting a Celebratory Volunteer Awareness Week Afternoon Tea and 1st Birthday Party for the Volunteer Resource Centre. This will go ahead from 2.30pm regardless of weather.
If you are interested in attending please RSVP for catering purposes on 3546027 and let us know your organisation and an estimate on numbers. You can also email us on info@vrcmanawtu.org.nz. If the weather fails us we will need to cancel the march and this will also allow us to notify you. You are welcome to join us for the parade only if that suits you also, no need to RSVP, however bear in mind the weather factor.
