The Volunteer Resource Center would like to invite you to attend a seminar by Cheryll Martin, Vice President of the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations, on Developing Effective Policies and Practices for your organisations Volunteer Programme.

Cheryll is the General Manager of Volunteering Auckland (since 1995), is a current Executive Member of the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations [NZFVWO] and a ministerial appointee to the Auckland Social Policy Forum. She was a member of the Ministerial Reference Group for the International Year of Volunteers, 2001; and was a community representative on the Ministry of Social Policy Volunteers and Volunteering Policy Project, so Cheryll brings with her a wealth of experience.

It’s an opportunity to find out how you can effectively develop policies and practices for YOUR Volunteer Programme.
Outcomes for you and your organisation are;
If you do not currently have policies and procedures regarding your volunteer programme you will know where to begin developing those unique to your organisation,
If you do have policies and procedures regarding your volunteer programme Cheryll will be on hand afterwards to provide advice on possible further direction or let you know if your policy or procedures are robust (which is always nice to know also).
We ask that you to bring your policies and procedures regarding your volunteer programme with you.

It will be held at Community House, 77-87 King Street, Palmerston North between 2.30 and 4.30pm. Light afternoon tea will be provided. Please RSVP by Tuesday 30th August 2011
